Statement:
I have lost count of how many times I pick up a piece of clay and squeeze my fist to capture the result of this brave and liberating action. Each time, I record the fists we tied during days filled with suffering and resistance. These fists are a testament to our complex and storied history. As I gaze upon them, I am reminded of my endless suffering. How many times did we clench our fists in the air and shout for freedom? Even now, I can create another, and in doing so, my hands become a symbol of the enduring resistance of a nation.
